It is with a heavy heart that we inevitably have to announce the postponement of Power Metal Quest Fest 2020. We will be moving the event to September 2021 and will confirm full details of this in the next few weeks.
We knew that the chances of this year’s event going ahead would be highly unlikely, but we have been working hard to liaise with the venue, bands and following government guidance closely before making our official announcement.
Although some live performances are able to go ahead outdoors at present, we feel that pushing forward with the event this year would not be in the best interests of our fans and also our artists. Some of our bands will be flying in from countries all over Europe and there is a high chance that many of them may not be allowed to fly out to the UK and with the added possibility that they may have to isolate for fourteen days when they arrive here, it’s going to make things logistically and financially impossible for these artists to commit to playing this year. With reduced capacity events set to go ahead for the future for the rest of the year, this also means it would put us in a difficult situation financially to cover the running of the festival and we also don’t want to put anyone at risk unnecessarily in attending an indoor event during the time of a pandemic.
As with all of the CapsaArx events postponed during this time, all tickets will be valid for the new date for 2021. We’ve already confirmed more than half of our artists for our rescheduled date and will be making an official announcement about this once we’ve confirmed the lineup for 2021.
In place of this year’s event, we will be hosting a virtual festival with more details to come.
As always, a huge thanks for your continued support, we hope you are keeping safe and well and will join us next year for our 5th year of running Power Metal Quest Fest!
