Fractures Live In Lockdown

Dakesis will be performing their latest album ‘Fractures’ (released March 28th via CapsaArx Records) in full, live-on-stage in a free Facebook Livestream on Sunday 2nd August 2020.
Dropping an album just five days after the UK lockdown, the band have been waiting for the right time to put a performance out into the world after their original album launch show had to be postponed. Vocalist Gemma says “This is such an unprecedented time for everyone, and musicians and artists especially have struggled to find ways to continue their work and connect with their fanbase throughout the lockdown. We knew that we wanted to put something out as close to our original plans as possible – costumes, lighting, staging, the lot. We have our own performance space inside our studio, so we’ve been quietly at work putting things together, and we finally think we can offer our fans the show they deserve.”
The live stream will be completely free to watch, with a PayPal donation link for anyone that wishes to contribute. Bassist and manager Amie says “It’s been a difficult few months for us all. Postponing the Fractures album launch show was heartbreaking after four years of hard work went into the creation of the album. We all work in the music industry too so things have been very uncertain for us, but we’ve been keen to get back to doing what we love the most and that’s performing our music together for others. Although we can’t currently perform in venues in front of a live audience, the official Fractures album launch will go ahead once it’s safe to do so, but for now, a live stream performance of the album is the closest we can get to sharing this with the world.”
The band will be joined by touring keyboard player Jacob Underwood, and will stream the performance live from CapsaArx Studios.
You can join the Fractures: Live in Lockdown livestream on the Dakesis Facebook Page at 19.30 GMT on Sunday 2nd August 2020.
